FEBH Trilogi University Strengthens Financial Literacy for MSMEs in Malaysia
Trilogi University Highlights the Importance of Financial Literacy for MSMEs in Malaysia.
In front of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based in Malaysia, a team from the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Humanities (FEBH) at Trilogi University Jakarta presented the critical role that universities play in strengthening financial literacy. The FEBH team was led directly by the Dean, Aty Herawati.
“Among those who need to receive financial literacy education are MSME actors. With a strong understanding of financial literacy, MSMEs will be better equipped to enhance their competitiveness and manage their businesses more effectively,” explained the FEBH Dean in a statement released today, Friday (November 29).
Trilogi University’s involvement in this community service activity aligns with its ongoing commitment to providing financial literacy education to MSMEs. Furthermore, the university is expanding its Tri Dharma (threefold mission of higher education: education, research, and community service) to include MSMEs in Malaysia.
“Our reason for choosing MSMEs in Malaysia, apart from expanding our community service efforts internationally, is because these MSMEs are part of a rapidly growing digital media MSME network,” added Aty Herawati, who is also a postgraduate lecturer at Trilogi University.
The Rector of Trilogi University, Pramono Hari Adi, expressed his appreciation for the FEBH Dean and her team. According to the Rector, Trilogi University consistently encourages its faculty members to collaborate with institutions both domestically and internationally.
“Trilogi University, formerly known as the School of Economics and Finance (STEKPI), has always been dedicated to advancing knowledge and improving public welfare. Guided by a spirit of collaboration, independence, and continuous innovation, the university strives to produce globally competitive and impactful faculty members and students,” said the Rector.
The event, held on Tuesday (November 26), also included the signing of a collaboration agreement between Trilogi University and SEGi University Malaysia. One of the immediate implementations of the agreement is a joint Community Service Program (PkM) between the Economics faculties of both institutions. (H-2)
